"Last September, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend Lydia's yoga session, and it was an awesome experience! Lydia led with pure energy, and the poses and flows were challenging yet thoughtfully paced. She consistently reminded us to be mindful and listen to our bodies, creating a safe and supportive environment for all

I truly appreciated her energetic teaching style, the challenging yet mindful approach to the poses and flows, and her emphasis on listening to our body.

"I've been doing private yoga lessons with Lydia for over 3 years and I can't recommend her highly enough. She is always friendly, open and grounding in our sessions and her yogic knowledge is incredibly vast. She is a true Yogi! The thing I love most about our work together is that she customizes each session for my needs at the moment and will tailor our work together to address them. One day we may do breathing exercises because I'm fighting bronchitis or feeling anxious, and another day we will focus more on specific movements to help my back or work on my feet to improve posture. But most of all she is a wonderful and interesting person who I look forward to spending time with each week."

“From the moment Lydia and I met, there was an instant connection - both as friends and as yoga colleagues. Over the years, we’ve co-taught workshops and found that our teaching styles beautifully complement one another. There’s a dynamic, grounded energy when we work together with our alignment-based cueing wrapped in humor and joy. Being in any yoga space with her is a real delight.

Lydia is a deeply committed yogini with a strong, graceful, intelligent practice. She is constantly curious and her teaching is rooted in the principles of Chromatic Yoga. Her narrative - especially around biomechanics and anatomy - is clear, precise, and intentional. She’s the kind of instructor I personally seek out: thoughtful, strong, and deeply embodied in her own spiritual and physical practice.

Lydia brings a humility and openness to learning that is truly rare. At the same time, she carries an undeniable presence - offering wisdom from her own life and generously sharing her insights with students and peers alike.

Even as life, family, and travel have sometimes kept us from teaching side by side, our bond has remained strong. I’m thrilled that 2025 will bring opportunities for us to collaborate again - this time in destination retreats and yoga - tennis crossovers! I can’t wait to see how Lydia continues to evolve and inspire others with her contagious light, strength, and authenticity.”

"I have been a competitive tennis player since I was a teenager, and by the time I was in my mid-50s, I found myself regularly waking up in the morning with aches and pains. Starting one-on-one yoga sessions with Lydia has been transformative.

Since 2020, I have been taking 60-minute yoga lessons from Lydia twice a week via Zoom.
When we started, I had actually begun to develop a frozen shoulder, but since we were in the midst of COVID, I could not see a PT as I had done in the past. No matter: In our yoga sessions, Lydia targeted my shoulders for stretching, mobility, and strengthening. Within a few months, I had regained full range of motion in that shoulder and also had built significantly more strength than I had before. That has been the pattern in my work with Lydia. We work on building mobility, strength, and balance in all parts of my body, and when we do a flow or work on a particular pose, my body is ready for it. The result of our work is that all of my regular activities – tennis, hiking, gardening – are easier, too, and I no longer worry about injuring myself when I am involved in those activities. I am stronger, more balanced, and calm.

Lydia has a fantastic manner. She is warm and optimistic, and she communicates clearly and compassionately. She is incredibly passionate about yoga and strives to expand her own practice and mine by constantly reading and learning more about yoga, physiology and breathing. And, despite her incredible level of skill and accomplishment, Lydia never shows off or makes me feel inferior; to the contrary, she constantly encourages me and helps me make real and discernible progress during every session.

Finally, the ability to work with Lydia remotely has been wonderfully convenient and productive. Lydia does all of the same movements, breathing, and poses as she directs me to do, and she constantly monitors my movements and gives clear verbal cues and corrections.

After five years of yoga with Lydia, I cannot wait to embark on the next five years of my yoga
journey with her!"
